Food
All of our food is freshly cooked on site by chef and licensee Owen Pugh. We offer a wide range of traditional pub meals, alongside more adventurous dishes on our weekly changing specials boards. All our ingredients are sourced as locally as possible, some of it within the village itself!
Drink
Here at The Cavendish, we are very proud of the standard of our beer. We choose to use the higher maintenance autovac system to serve our beer – we think the extra effort is worth it, we wouldn’t want to spoil our choice of local and national real ales. We also serve an impressive range of artisan gins, a sophisticated wine list and the finest soft drinks.
Beer Garden
Our beer garden is the perfect place to spend a summer’s afternoon. Be it just a Pimms or prosecco, or a full meal, these quiet natural surroundings are a fantastic sun trap in which to enjoy it. Spread over three tiers, with a children’s play area, and surrounded by plants, flowers and shrubs of all varieties, there’s something to relax everyone.
Events
Our dining room, with its warm wood glow and views of our gardens, makes a wonderful setting for meals, buffets and drinks with friends, family and work. We can tailor an occasion to suit your every need and price range, just call us to discuss. details.
Motorhomes
Our car park is large and secure enough to accommodate several large motorhomes. It also makes an idael venue for classic car outings, with space for at least 30 cars – let us help you organise a fantastic day out for your club or group!

The Elm Tree Inn
About
This 17th Century Inn has always been at the centre of village life and through the ages has been a great asset to the wider community of Embsay and Eastby. Today the pub is a popular destination for walkers and tourists alike and visitors can be assured of a warm and friendly greeting at any time of the year.
A great selection of local ales, ciders and wines and fresh food served daily.
After enjoying one of the many local walks from our front door, relaxing at the bar in the “Tree” is one of the best rewards life can bestow on tired legs. For those who have worked up a healthy appetite, we have an extensive menu ranging from “light bites” to a locally sourced steak.
Dining in the Elm Tree is a relaxed and informal experience and if desired, you can sit at your table for as long as you wish.
B&B Rooms
Our Bed & Breakfast rooms are fully equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, free WiFi and Sky TV. The King size beds are furnished with Egyptian cotton sheets and 13.5 tog duvets – very useful in the depth of an Embsay winter! Breakfast is served between 8am and 9.30am and includes a full English or a lighter fruit and cereal option.

Clean Eats Kitchen
Let us introduce ourselves; Gina & Liam from Clean Eats Kitchen started in January 2018 from a teeny tiny home kitchen. Originally starting out as a healthy meal prep delivery service, delivering all over West & North Yorkshire. After 4 months we started building our own commercial kitchen along with plans for our first health cafe in Keighley. November 2018 we were in, and our brand grew! February 2019 we opened our first cafe and it has been a great success. Fast forward to Summer 2020 and amongst the craziness of what has been happening this past year we decided to open a second café in Embsay, Skipton.
We are all about providing fresh healthy food with a twist! Health is the new wealth and this is what we preach! Liam a Former British Army and Royal Air Force Physical Training Instructor and Gina a Former fitness and health retreat Chef who’s work took her across Europe, North Africa and our home shores have heaps of experience in the field to share with you.
Healthy breakfasts with perfectly poached eggs, barista coffee, smoothies and protein shakes, wraps with fresh ingredients made on site, weekly specials, but don’t worry, we understand life is all about balance and we do have a very popular ‘treat corner’. The ‘Grab & Go’ fridge filled with our meal prep for busy people on the go. Not forgetting the little ones! We have many options for children too.

Crown Cottage Farm Bed & Breakfast and Shepherds Hut
A warm welcome awaits guests when they come to stay
A quiet and relaxed holiday accommodation to get away from it all and enjoy the great fresh air of the Yorkshire Dales.
Set in five acres of land, this is home to our three alpacas, Zulu, Ginger and Blue. we also have a small flock of Pedigree Texel sheep. We also have playing out hens that supply eggs for breakfast. We have two Labradors Dee and Monkey who will come and say hello if you would like. Plus the mad terrier Brillo! Mog the cat is known to get into your car if the doors are left open.
Bedrooms
We have 3 bedrooms which are tastefully furnished, with fantastic views of the surrounding area.
We have 2 double rooms. 1 has en-suite facilities, the other smaller double room has a private bathroom across the landing. The twin room has en-suite facilities. All the bedrooms are central heated, have flat screen freeview TV, clock radio, an excellent range of teas, coffees on our hospitality trays. Hair dryers, hot water bottles. The en-suite and bathrooms have complimentary toiletries, there are good quality bath and hand towels. Free Wifi and USB charging sockets.
Shepherds Hut
Whether it’s a romantic break or just to escape the bustle of daily life or to explore the local area, The Shepherds Huts is a great place to stay. A traditionally built Shepherds Hut that sleeps two people. It is well insulated so guests can stay comfortable and warm.
