Bus fares will be capped at £2 by most bus companies from 1st January to 31st March 2023 as part of a special offer funded by the Department for Transport.

The offer will be available on all scheduled bus services in the Yorkshire Dales area, which includes the routes to and from Embsay & Eastby, Service 14, (Monday to Fridays) & Cravenlink 873, (Sundays and Bank Holidays).

This means that between 1 January and 31 March 2023 a single bus journey on all eligible bus routes run by participating operators will cost no more than £2 (or £4 return). The scheme is part of the Government’s Help for Households campaign designed to support families through cost-of-living pressures. The temporary £2 Bus Fare Cap on fares does not change the concessionary fare scheme or impact free travel.
