Christian Aid works in 29 countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America and the Caribbean. The work is varied from working with women to increase their access to green and sustainable energy in Malawi, Burkina Faso and Ethiopia to peacebuilding in Myanmar and Colombia.  People of all faiths and none benefit from Christian Aid. A partnership of people, churches and local organisations committed to ending poverty worldwide, formed at the end of World War 2 Christian Aid is there before, during and after a disaster, to save lives, and support people long-term. They can do this because they work in partnership with local organisations in the countries affected by disasters so can talk directly to the people affected to provide the most useful emergency response. For example, in 2025 Christian Aid responded to climate related disasters in India and Pakistan where heavy monsoon rains affected millions of people and killed 1,860 people, and in Brazil where widespread drought affected half of the country.

We can make a positive difference for people and planet, and this is a simple and easy way of showing concern for the millions of people who despite decades of progress still live in extreme poverty.
