Our U11’s finally got their final game of the season, against Skipton U11’s, played on Wednesday evening. Skipton batted first and scored 70 for 8 (net score 206) with wickets for Olive Ratcliffe, Percy Buckmaster, Ellie Walters, Archie Ogden, Jacob Barker and Hudson Meeking. We sadly could only muster 48 for 11 (net score 160), so defeat by 46 runs. Hugo Brookfield-Eddison top scored with 15. We finished fifth in the league.

On Thursday evening the players gathered at the field for a presentation of medals and to have their picture taken in resplendent new shirts which have been provided by Oak Valley Campers, and presented by CEO Grace Hill.

Senior Teams
The rain played havoc throughout the divisions with very little cricket played. Only one game started in Division Three where Middleham lost at home to North Stainley. This means we remain in second spot six points behind leaders Walton Park. The second team game at Pannal was conceded by them as early as Wednesday. This gives us twenty points, which comes in handy as all the other teams in the division only receive eight points. We remain in fourth spot but have closed the gap on the third and second placed teams to be in the running for promotion again. Leaders Killinghall II are 37 points in front of us.

Fixtures
Next Saturday, weather permitting the 1 st XI are away to Spofforth. The 2nd XI are at home to second placed Whixley 2nds. The game is sponsored by John Bower Consulting and Joanne Riley-Radcliffe (Prembiz)
