Did you know?
That in the 2022 Butterfly Conservation report there has been an 80% decline in numbers since the 1970’s.
This is largely due to habitat destruction and pesticide use. Butterflies and moths are indicators of the general health of our wildlife systems.
What can we do to help?
- Leave a small area of your garden to grow wild.
- Grow nectar rich plants.
- Don’t use pesticides.
- Join the Big Butterfly count which starts this Friday 14th July- Sunday 6th August.
