The much awaited “Library of Things” is opening very soon in Skipton in the old SCAD shop on Newmarket Street.

This is such a great initiative and I hope it gets lots of support. Reducing consumerism and sharing resources has to be good for the environment. I am advertising it with the letter from one of the members of “Share Skipton”.
“Hi there,
I am the development officer at Share Skipton, and at the moment we’re pushing for a big volunteer drive so that we can open later this summer.
We’d be extremely grateful for your help, and any exposure you could give us would go a long way. I’ve attached a poster, our logo, an image, and paragraph. Anything else I can do in case the format isn’t ideal, please let me know.
“We are excited to announce the opening of our Library of Things later this summer (date pending) and we need your help to make it a success! A Library of Things allows the community to borrow tools, kitchen appliances, electronics, and more, promoting sustainability and saving money. We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with two-hour shifts, helping with check-outs, returns, and maintaining inventory. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with your community and support a sustainable initiative. For more details and to sign up, please visit www.shareskipton.org/volunteer, or send an email to hello@shareskipton.org“
Thank you and best wishes,
