Did you know?
Over 8million tons of plastic ends up in our oceans every year. Bottles, bags and micro plastics pose a significant threat to marine life. It’s estimated that by 2050 plastic will outweigh all fish in the sea.
What can we do?
Reduce the amount of single use plastic.
How can we do that?
By refilling containers and using them again and again.
Where can we do this?
– Moorey’s Health Food Store on the High Street in Skipton have containers to give refills of shampoo, conditioner, laundry liquid , washing up liquid, soap and other cleaning items.
– Silsden and Addingham have pop up refill stores on certain dates which you can see on the attached posters. Simply take along your own bottles. It’s so easy to do your bit to help the environment.
If anyone knows of other local refill places please let us know. (Comments are open on this post for this)
