Film Night

Here we are counting down to the second of Embsay’s legendary Film Night showing at the Village Institute. It almost feels like ‘normal’ times!

The date is Tuesday 16th November, the time is 7:30pm. The Village Institute will be open around 7:10pm. Entrance is £5 per person.

Our film choice this month is ‘Invictus’ a 2009 film directed and produced by Clint Eastwood. It stars Morgan Freeman, Matt Damon and Tony Kgorge and is the true story of how Nelson Mandela joined forces with the captain of South Africa’s rugby team to help bring unity to their country following the fall of apartheid. Although the story revolves around the 1995 rugby World Cup it’s not a ‘sports’ film, for those of you who wouldn’t necessarily be interested in that, but is a moving biographical film that considers the psyche of the nation.

We will once again be taking care making sure everyone feels safe and able to attend. Please feel free to wear a mask.

We hope you can make it and are looking forward to seeing you all.

Kind regards the film night committee members.
