Liz Roodhouse explains some background on how the lichen workshop has come about.

It all started on Tuesday 22 March when the eco group at St Mary’s Church Embsay met Dr Judith Allinson to look at the lichens of the churchyard with them. They were amazed by what they learnt and were able to see with a hand lens. As a result two introductory sessions have been planned for the public.
