Vegetable, fruit and herb planters at St Mary’s Church

The Eco Group at St Mary’s Church, Embsay with Eastby, has recently organised the installation of 2 planters in the churchyard which contain herbs, vegetables and fruit. Both planters are near the building and easy to access. Please come and see them – and feel free to pick some of the produce to use! Please leave the roots and just take what you need on a ‘cut and come again’ basis.
We would love to hear from you if you take and enjoy some of the produce. If you have any spare edible plants and would like to donate them to the planters, please get in touch via Marion.Russell@leeds.anglican.org.
This is part of the work of St Mary’s Church towards the national A Rocha Eco Church Award scheme.
