Welcome to The Embsay & Eastby Post – a community website for our two villages.

Many of you will remember the much missed Embsay-with-Eastby News magazine, skilfully edited, managed and distributed by Andrew Wilson, David Hill and Ann Cuthbert, supported by many volunteers and contributors. We hope to plug the gap left by the magazine and to provide a useful resource for information and updates about life and events in and around our community – both for residents and visitors.

The main difference is that The Embsay & Eastby Post is an online resource, which is constantly being updated rather than being published monthly. As with the magazine the success of the site will rest with the contributions made by its readers and we welcome any updates, event listings, stories, reviews, pictures, videos or anything else that you think would be of interest. The more the merrier! We are not beholden to a print deadline so feel free to contact us at the email below if you have anything you’d like to share.
