A reminder that Northern Powergrid are continuing the removal of overhead powerlines and poles and that Barden Road will be closed from Tuesday 4th January to Friday 25th February.

The reason for the Eastby road closure is due to Northern Powergrid removing 8km of overhead lines and 109 poles at four locations across the Yorkshire Dales National Park during 2021/22.

Throughout the road closure, a signposted diversion will be in place through Embsay, the A59 Skipton by-pass/Harrogate Road, the B6160 and Barden Road.

There are no plans to turn off anyone’s power and access to homes and businesses will be maintained at all times.
