Embsay Cricket Club – Remembrance

This Remembrance Day, Embsay Cricket Club remembers those players who were killed in the Great War 1914-1918 and the Second World War 1939-1945.

They were:

O Riley – Loyal North Lancashire Regiment
James William “Willie” Scott – Duke of Wellington West Riding Regiment
Tom Watson – Yorkshire and Lancashire Regiment

1939 to 1945

They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
