Chris Lunnon of the Embsay With Eastby Research Group has produced two reports into the historical importance of the two proposed building sites in the YDNPA housing consultation.

Both the reports – one for the fields north of Brackenley Lane, (Emb2 – proposed site for 100 houses) and one for the land south of Brackenley Lane, (Emb3 – proposed site for 19 houses) can be viewed and downloaded by clicking the links below.

Chris has sent the two reports to the North Yorkshire Archaeology team and the Historic Environment Record at the YDNP. There is a printed copy available in the Library.

I’m sure everyone who is concerned about the proposal and its impact on Embsay village will much appreciate the detailed and meticulous research Chris has undertaken in preparing these documents.
