Action…not just talk
If we have any concerns about the area in which we live then we should take action to draw people’s attention to the problem. Only then can it be resolved.
What are the ways we can do that?
- Go to our Parish Council. They meet regularly in the Village Institute. Next meeting is on Wednesday Sept 13th at 7.30pm. in the Supper Room.
- Talk to one of the parish councillors. They have a website where we can find all the latest information and contact details. embsayeastbypc.com
Some things need to be referred to NYC.
- North Yorkshire Council have a website which has a list of all council services. northyorks.gov.uk
Find the most appropriate one to report your problem.
eg. for fly-tipping/litter problem go to Environment and Neighbourhoods
eg. street lights not working, problems with roads, pavements and road signs go to Roads, Parking, Travel
There is also Information about schools in NY affected by RACA – Reinforced Autoclave Aerated Concrete.
We can also read about the Bio-diversity Action Plan for Craven.
