Keeping Kirk Lane Clear – Remembrance Sunday, 9th November

Dear Embsay Residents – and Visitors

A field of vibrant red poppies swaying gently in the breeze, representing remembrance and honoring fallen soldiers.

On Remembrance Sunday (9th November) there is a public procession from St Mary’s Church to the War Memorial on Main St, including children’s organisations.

To keep us safe using the pavement, and to allow us to process safely to Main St at the War Memorial to gather for the 11.00am silence, would you kindly move any cars you have parked on Kirk Lane between Cross End and St Mary’s Church to keep that stretch of the lane clear from 10.20 – 11.00am

Thank you.
We deeply appreciate this mark of respect for those who gave their lives for us.

The Embsay with Eastby Parish Councillors
and Marian, the Vicar.
