Barden Moor Reservoirs were built between 1856 and 1882 and employed Engineers, Masons, Carpenters, Quarrymen, Miners, and Excavators (Navvies) who lived in temporary huts on the Moor, many with their families.
This is the story of how the reservoirs were constructed and the lives of the people who built them.
