Embsay with Eastby Community Library 

Next week we are celebrating our Community library with all of the Local History Files going on a special display in the Village Institute foyer. We are also displaying the WW1 files produced by the Village History Group.

The Local History files are a fascinating piece of local history produced by the WI and in particular Monika Butler. 

We are therefore dedicating this display to the memory of Monika, who was so instrumental in so many of our village institutions. If you’re new to the village or just want to know a bit more about your house, come and browse.

The files will be on display in the foyer and library from 2pm THURSDAY until MIDDAY SATURDAY.

After that the files can been seen on the Reference Section in the library.
