I feel privileged to be elected as your representative to the new North Yorkshire Council (NYC).
I want to thank you all for the warm welcome that I received when door-knocking and leafletting over the last few months. I hope to meet everyone on the doorstep or at other events in the months ahead, to hear your views.
I lived in Embsay for a year and got to know the village quite well. My children both attended Embsay primary school.
It is a great shame that between Brian and myself that there could only be one of us elected and I know that he is held in high esteem by many of you.
I will continue to work hard for the residents of this area, particularly ‘my division’ of Embsay, Eastby and Skipton North. With NYC centred in Northallerton it will be even more important that local councillors speak up for your concerns.
I am now a member of the Green group of councillors at NYC and will be the spokesperson on Health for the group but I will keep a eye on the whole range of issues that affect residents of this division. We are a very experienced group with diverse backgrounds from working in roles that include management, farming, education and the military.
My mobile number is 07593 599 318 but the best way to contact me is through my NYC email: Cllr.David.Noland@northyorks.gov.uk. I will aim to reply to you on the day and certainly within 24 hours.
David Noland
