The match reports for last Saturday is short and sweet. Neither side played due to rain and the condition of the field, so it is as you were in the league tables. This weekend is a big one for the 1st XI. On Saturday they take on leaders Walton Park at Billy Bob’s Ice Cream Parlour sponsored Shires Lane. With only six points between the top two and one point between second and third, North Stainley, there could be a bit of movement in the table. The game starts at 1-30pm and is sponsored by Raj at The Paper Shop.
Meanwhile the 2nd XI travel to Glasshouses to take on Ripley 3rds. No matter what the result we will remain in 4th place.
On Sunday the 1st XI travel to West Tanfield to play in the final of the Barrett Cup with a 4-00pm start. Their opponents are North Stainley. In addition to our final there are two others being played – The Peter Bentley Cup at 10-30am, and the Wath Cup at 1-00pm. The ground is half a mile before West Tanfield on the A6108 Ripon Road, between North Stainley and West Tanfield. It is hoped that the weather plays its part in proceedings and all the games are settled on the field.
