Embsay & Eastby Good Neighbours

Supporting Each Other in Our Village

Befriending Co-ordinator wanted

We are a small local charity with a primary objective of relieving loneliness and isolation within the villages of Embsay and Eastby. We currently have 14 volunteers who are willing and able to spend some time with residents who find themselves isolated or in need of someone just to chat to from time to time.

Our current co-ordinator is stepping down from this role and for us to continue this service the charity is searching for a replacement. It is a purely voluntary role and would ideally suit someone who is of a caring nature, or who has prior social or health care experience. Our existing co-ordinator will be available to support the successful applicant whilst they settle into the role.

In the first incidence please either call our dedicated number on 07544 004971 or e-mail eegn@gmx.com to register an interest.
