Making Waves Café donates £80 to Skipton Food Bank and £150 to Afghan Winter Support Appeal.
The community Café meets on Monday mornings between 10.00am and 12noon to serve Fairtrade tea/filter coffee and fruit teacakes. The aim is simple – to provide a safe place to bring people together, enjoy a cuppa and a chat.
It has been made possible by a wonderful team of 16 volunteers.
Situated in the former Methodist Chapel , it has comfortable seating, good prices and free refills!
All are welcome and it is dog friendly. There is a toddlers/parents corner. Other activities such as crafting/art therapy could be introduced if there are volunteers within the village who have the skills and enthusiasm.
A huge “THANK YOU” to all volunteers and café guests.
We also have a team of volunteer drivers – so if you fancy giving us a try, just call the Good Neighbours “hotline” 07544 004971. Lifts are provided free of charge to and from the café
