First Eleven
We haven’t done well when it comes to the top of the table clashes. We have played four and lost four. The defeat on Saturday to North Stainley completing the quartet. Our visit to North Stainley and with four of the team that won the cup over the same opposition six days previous missing didn’t help the cause. After being put in we struggled to reach 89 all out in the 30^th over, with Andrew Foulds top scoring with 21. Their openers made a solid start of 51 and lost their second wicket at 71. We managed to claim three wickets but it was too little too late as they cruised home by five wickets in the 21^st over. Struan Mackenzie took 3 for 17 and Andrew 2 for 21. We only picked up three points, so promotion is now out of our hands. North Stainley in second placed are now 25 points ahead of us. Ripley, in fourth place, are breathing down our necks just two points behind.

Second Eleven
We entertained Little Ribston at the Billy Bob Ice Cream Parlour sponsored Shires Lane ground. They won the toss and elected to bat on a slow damp wicket. Our bowlers kept a tight rein on the batsmen and they staggered to 64 all out in the 30^th over. The outfield had been affected by the overnight rain and it showed in that they only hit four 4s in their innings. Stephen Speak rolled back the years to finish with 4 for 26 off 10 overs. Jago Bean took 3 for 5, Casper Bean 2 for 19 and Will Barwick 1 for 12. Our batsmen suffered on the damp wicket and we found ourselves 31 for 6 in the 18^th over. Jago Bean was joined by Scott Robinson and the pair set about steadying the ship. Then they made sure of the points by putting on an unbeaten 37 for the seventh wicket. Both batted 40 balls and Jago finished on 16 not out and Scott 18 not out. We only hit three fours in our innings! We claimed 17 points and now sit in third place. We are 17 points behind Whixley who lost to Pannal Ash and 3 points in front of Ben Rhydding who lost at home to Thirsk 3rds.

Fixtures
The first team are away again this week in Wensleydale, up at Middleham. The second team are at home to Pannal Ash with the game sponsored by Ian Cranston Auto Technicians.
